If you have already played other gambling games as online blackjack or online roulette you already know that there are some programs or so-called roulette or blackjack computer simulators which tell you how to play any game. Here we will describe you the rules of the game of poker that will help you to play this game no matter where you are.

Holdem Poker Rules

Texas Hold’em poker which you can meet in all casino halls over the world is played with the common 52 cards deck with 2-11 persons. This version uses the standard hand ranking. Prior all gamblers get hole cards two of them post the obligatory blind bets. After each poker player gets two face down cards. The round of betting occurs. The players have the options to fold, bet, check, call and raise depending on the choices of the other players. Betting round is considered to be over when all poker players post equal amounts to the bank. Then dealer deals three face up cards also known as the flop. The next round of betting occurs after which one more community card (known as the turn) is placed on the board. The gamblers bet once more and the final face up card (known as the river) is shown. The last round of betting finishes by the showdown when all gamblers still in the hand show the cards and the winner is chosen according to the best poker hand. According to poker rules each poker player is allowed to use any of his or her hole cards and any number of five exposed cards on the board to form the hand. In case of tie the pot is split. When all five community cards create the highest hand in this game the pot is divided between all poker gamblers.

Seven-Card Stud Poker Rules

7- Card Stud Poker is also popular poker variation. The poker rules of Seven Card Stud are not difficult and the basic thing you are to keep in mind is that all players receive seven cards, some of them face down and some exposed, and must create the possible strong hand out of these cards.

All the gamblers at the table make the ante. Then every gambler receives two face down and one face up cards. The gambler who gets the lowest face up card posts the small bring-in amount. The betting then proceeds. One face up card called the fourth street or turn is given to each gambler. The gamblers post bets starting with that player who holds best exposed cards and one face up card (the fifth street) is dealt. Again the round of betting occurs. The sixth card called the sixth street is dealt followed by betting. When the last (the seventh street) card is given face down the gamblers post bets again. In the showdown the players turn over the cards and the winner receives the pot.

Omaha Poker Rules

There exist two widespread Omaha poker variations, Omaha Hi and Omaha High/Low, but the first game is the most widespread. The High/Low form is gaining its popularity mostly in the US casinos. The poker rules of Omaha are similar to the poker rules of Holdem with several differences. The first one is that the players receive four pocket cards each and must use two of them and three of face up cards to form the poker hands. All rounds of betting are the same as in Holdem. The gambler with the highest five card hand gets the pot. One more peculiarity of Omaha is that the gamblers are not allowed to play the board.

Caribbean Stud Rules

Once this poker game was played like the experimental card game it turned out to be so popular that most casino halls started to feature it. According to the poker rules the players firstly place the ante bets and receive five cards each from the traditional deck. The dealer also takes five cards one of which is exposed. Then the players must decide whether to leave or continue the game. In case you decide to stay you must call the bet by placing the amount equal to the ante. The dealer turns over the hand. If he/she qualifies (has King and Ace or better) the hands are checked for the win. In another case the gamblers are paid out. So, in case you have higher hand than the dealer holds you win both the ante bet and call bet. There is the special bonus payoff table to make game more interesting. Before you start gambling learn the poker rules and payoff tables to understand your chances.
